With a heavy heart, we share news of the passing of a dear friend and inspiration, Alec “Bunk” Wurth. We are honored to have known such a beautiful individual and to have been a part of his journey through the Goodwill Fitness & Technology Center and Assistive Technology Exchange Center. His contagious joy and unyielding determination will forever be remembered and serve as inspiration to all of us. This American flag painting he completed for us last year will hang in the Goodwill of Orange County offices in his honor always.
Goodwill of Orange County was proud to host its Third Annual Gala, benefitting our veterans’ services, fitness center, and assistive technology programs. Co-chairs Alaina Stamos-Talarico, Anthea Chade, and Dr. Jacqueline Dupont brought together nearly 500 attendees at the Ritz Carlton, Dana Point. John Stamos, Bob Saget, and Dave Coulier hosted the evening that featured a Grammy-award winning line-up of six entertainment legends. Most of all the mission and vision of the ninety-two year old organization was shared, especially in this video.CLICK HERE TO VIEW 2016 GALA VIDEO

The Face of Independence.
In addition to reducing waste in our cities’ landfills, recycling offers other benefits. It provides goods for Goodwill’s Computer Works that generates revenue and provides green jobs for people with disabilities and other obstacles to independence. Today 35 program participants like Romos and Goodwill staff members are proud to be a part of the Green Team.
