Senior Human Resources Representative

Job Duties:

To recruit and interview qualified employees who will support Goodwill’s services and business objectives and ensure the quality of the overall hiring process. Responsibilities include focusing on the recruitment of qualified individuals with disabilities and minorities, working closely with managers and supervisors to identify the most effective methods of recruitment to meet their needs, and develop viable relationships with organizations in the community to ensure timely and quality staffing within the organization. Assess current recruitment activities and develop creative, alternative recruitment approaches as necessary, and conduct ongoing measurement of outcomes/quality through analysis of recruitment-related data. Complete required reports and surveys and manage all administration related to the employment function. Perform other functions including resolving employee relations issues, and working on special projects as assigned. Provide back-up to other positions as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred in a related field. Three years interviewing and recruiting experience with exempt, nonexempt and management positions. Experience with employee relations required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. PC proficiency with Word, Excel and HRIS systems preferred.

ADC (Attendant Donation Center)

Job Duties:

Responsible for greeting customers and receiving donations at trailer site. Duties include loading and unloading goods safely, maintaining a neat and orderly donation site, answering customer questions, issuing receipts and safeguarding company assets.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED desired but not required. Training will be provided. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds. Flexibility to work rotating schedules and locations if necessary including weekends. Overtime required during peak periods. Ability to speak English well enough to receive work directions and communicate effectively with customers and co-workers. Consecutive days off may not be available due to scheduling priorities. Starting pay $8.15/hr.

Job Duties:

Provide supervision, training and support to adults with disabilities in community businesses and other job sites to assist in career development and to ensure integrated employment outcomes. This position also provides consultation to employers regarding hiring, training, supervising and supporting adults with disabilities; ensures the quality of work at community or employer job sites; and completes required program documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma plus two years experience working with developmentally disabled adults. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Effective writing skills to prepare program documentation. Valid California driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance at time of applying. Starting pay $12.00/hr.

Compliance Specialist

Job Duties:

Plans, implements and coordinates all activities related to State and Federal rehabilitation program standards for quality. Develops and initials method of inspection, using knowledge of the rehabilitation field and CARF requirements. Establishes policy, procedures and “best practices” for quality control of CARF accredited programs. Provides training in the particular requirements needed to maintain conformance in various areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

Prior experience working with disabled, working in rehabilitation field, industrial engineering or similar field. (Bachelor’s degree is helpful, but not required.) Knowledge and understanding of State and Federal Wage and Hour laws. Ability to work independently. Good math skills. Ability to make presentations to employers, employees and clients. Ability to maintain accurate records. Have a Valid California driver's license, liability insurance, and a DMV record that is acceptable to Goodwill's insurance company. Good interpersonal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of time study procedures. Thorough knowledge of CARF requirements

Independent Living Skills Instructor

Job Duties:

To provide curriculum development, client assessment, and instruction to deaf and hard of hearing individuals. Assists students in developing independent living skills necessary at home, work and in school.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or G.E.D. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Fluency in American Sign Language and deaf culture. One-year of work experience working with the Deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals with minimal language skills, and other mental and physical disabilities, foreign deaf, as well as skilled deaf communicators helpful. Three-years of relevant experience in counseling or teaching. Valid California driver’s license, liability insurance, and a DMV record, which is acceptable to Goodwill’s insurance company. Proficient PC skills with experience in Word and Excel preferred. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Effective writing skills.

Job Duties:

Manages store staff and operations within budgetary guidelines and ensures compliance with all company procedures and policies. Responsible for effective merchandising and sufficient inventory levels to meet customer demand.
