Local Business Leaders Golf for Goodness Sake
Goodwill Invitational Slated for June 21 at Santa Ana Country Club

Goodwill of Orange County is holding its annual charity golf tournament Monday, June 21, 2010. The fundraising goal for the 2010 Goodwill Invitational is to net more than $115,000. The mission of Goodwill of Orange County is to provide individuals with disabilities and other barriers the opportunity to achieve their highest levels of personal and economic independence.

Goodwill is proud to announce that this year U.S. Bank has agreed to serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the Goodwill Invitational. This marks the first time a corporation has stepped forward to support the tournament in such a way. John Kearney, Vice President and District Manager of U.S. Bank says, “Our presence in Orange County continues to grow and as a result, we want to see our contributions to local charitable organizations grow as well. What better way to show support of the Orange County community than to support one of the county’s most effective and efficient non-profit organizations? We have been a supporter of Goodwill for many years and truly believe in the work they do to support so many local people in our community. I am amazed by the accomplishments of Goodwill and we are proud to able to increase our support of this deserving organization.”

The Goodwill Invitational raises important funds that support Goodwill’s many programs and services that give people a hand up, rather than a hand out. In these economically challenging times, the job training and placement services Goodwill offers are needed now more than ever. Participation from the community will ensure Goodwill is able to help even more people with valuable programs and services.

The event brings businessmen and women together for a challenging day of play on one of Orange County’s oldest and most prestigious golf courses, Santa Ana Country Club. The tournament promises to provide a fun day of play followed by an inspiring and exciting auction and dinner.
